Over the past decade a group of like minded snow industry professionals got together and started considering opportunities for the development of educational sessions focused solely on freestyle terrain development.

Our Mission

ParkScapers currently offered two training options, the one day Park and Operation Training which is aimed at getting staff ready for the season with topic that include: building to your resort’s needs, risk management and documentation, setting resort goal, basic design and layout, using tools on snow etc.  The Full program is 3 days and includes build time with machines, focused jump building session with measurement options, documentation from paper to software applications, cost of builds and how to show a return on investment, creating terrain learning environments, developing a plan for management for future needs and using sketch up to create visual plans.  The intention is to allow participants to learn through guided discovery while maintaining an aspect of creativity in the design. The committee has developed a curriculum which includes current industry trends (GPS snow mapping, terrain learning environments, Riglet parks), risk management, as well as design-build-maintain (site selection, earth works, build technique, layout, signage).

Parkscapers has helped educate over 200 resort personnel & staff. They inspire everyone to implement the industry’s best practices & maintain resort features to a standard of safety recognized across the industry.
